I'm...not sure how I feel about this.

On one hand, I love The House of the Devil and cannot wait to see what a cool edition of that might look like.

On the other hand, a simple 5-disc steelbook for $70 doesn't really feel like the crazy awesome cool "limited collector's" type of thing they seem to be striving for. JUST a steel? No PET slipcovers like Best Buy/Wal Mart does? No slip box like Arrow or Second Sight?

Also, pretty freaking courageous (and maybe misguided) to be wanting to tackle Henry & Texas Chainsaw. Both have 4K limited editions as-is. And I truly don't think anybody will be able to best Second Sight's Limited Edition release of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I'm a little torn as well, I love House Of The Devil but if it's just a recycled disc I'm not so sure... Adam told me he didn't like the artwork and now I see what he meant, I don't hate it but at the same time I feel like they could have done so much better with all the material from the 4 films... I own all the films already and do want the bonus disc but for $70?... maybe another retailer will have it for a cheaper price, it would be nice to have an option to buy just the steel and bonus disc for a heavy discount lol

Personally, I like the artwork and that this release will create some shelf space, but.....

$70 is a tad high considering these are widely available for much cheaper. 4K would have been more inticing and a final stop for these flicks too.

I don't collect steelbooks so I hope this gets a standard edition soon as well. That bonus disc sounds awesome.

If this release was 4k I'd double dip. As it is, having already bought some of these films twice and having all 4 blus signed by adam green I'll hold off. Cool set for those who haven't bought any yet! A really fun modern slasher series.

I didn’t think Dark Sky was even around anymore. I’d much rather have Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster on Blu than what they’ve announced so far. Not interested in the Hatchet box and I already own a good Blu of House of the Devil.

and because it's a steelbook, I'm assuming it's going to be stacked disc's, doesn't sound very premium

Not crazy about that steelbook art but I do plan on picking this up mainly because I only own 3 of the films and would like to consolidate and have one package for the series. Yeah, that price is hefty. Maybe it's just the MSRP?

I'm sorta glad they're doing this but not if it's just going to be expensive re-releases of the same 4 or 5 titles. They have a small but eclectic library and I'm hoping they go into the deeper cuts more than newer films. Maybe we'll see a steelbook of Magic, the 1978 Anthony Hopkins film? Also, they're saying these will be remasters and I hope they stick to that. They're marketing to collectors and need to show us they mean business and aren't just copying SONY with endless steelbook reissues.

Smart of them to cash in on the two Ti West titles, both of which I'd be interested in seeing what they have in store for.

I'm wondering what they will do with The Innkeepers. Steelbook or some other limited packaging? I have the standard blu now but have always liked that one

I hope that means there's interest at getting his first two films to blu: The Roost and Trigger Man.

They've been re-releasing TCM for years including its US 4k which I think jacob forgot they already put out. Apparently they'll release another 4k with different packaging I guess.

I'm down for buying Texas Chain Saw Massacre again so long as EVERY extra and the original Mono track is included.

Yeah, I knew there was a recent US release for it. But with Second Sight releasing a banger of a set in the UK and Turbine releasing crazy Mediabook/Steelbooks in Germany...I didn't pay a single ounce of attention to the US release. Didn't realize it was Dark Sky. Just knew it was something.

Stacked discs are a dealbreaker, hard pass.

Looks like they're all just going to be steelbooks.

Just a standard steelbook without a slip or box to house it in doesn't really scream "Collector's Edition" to me. I feel like Dark Sky kinda doesn't "get it" with whole thing.

I just want all of the Hatchet movies. The first was easy to purchase but the 2nd film has been going for high asking prices. Glad to continue the series and excited for the Hatchet film series,
