I caught this over the weekend and I was mesmerized by it. Romantic, heartfelt, and bittersweet, with terrific performances by Gosling and Stone.

Seeing this as a front runner for best picture, that date throws me off. Usually studios like to release winners right after the Oscars. Moonlight comes out a few days after oscars. Wish this was the same.

I guess it'll just be playing in theaters more often then.

But it'll look great with HDR and there'll be some detail uptick

Definitely. Im expecting a 4K UHD for it but seeing there is no listing (at least not yet) Im assuming they wont release one.

Gotta remember though that Moonlight came out in November and the wide release for La La Land isn't technically until January

Sadly, no. Wide release is in January. It doesn't look like my town is going to get it until then. I am desperate to see it.

It goes "wide" this week, but will go "wider" in January.

Wide normally means like 1000 for this kind of film but in mid/late january it will be in 2000+. Most theaters around me are not getting it until January
