Your Jurassic World sequel - WARNING: Spoilers may occur

What would your sequel to Jurassic World be? How many sequels would you do? And with which characters (either JP or JW)?

Here's what I'd do:

Jurassic World: Expansion

Five years after the events of Jurassic World, the park has been repaired and is accepting visitors again. Masrani decide they want to expand the park, so Owen is sent out with a bunch of construction workers to assist in clearing the abandoned original Jurassic Park area.

However, the T-Rex is not happy and goes on the rampage to claim her park back (possibly believing it to be her land now after the end of Jurassic World).

Jurassic World: Global Armaggedon

Business is booming with Jurassic World; visitors are coming to the park for the thrill of possibly being in danger (some of them even secretly hope things start to go wrong again). But it's not enough for the higher-ups. They once again desire more money and believe to be losing some from those not prepared to travel to Isla Nublar for the experience. So Masrani set out to establish the park as a global brand.

Claire is sent to sell Jurassic World worldwide but can she do it? And when the park does go global, how do you stop a global disaster when the ambitious new dinosaurs escape from the parks?
Featuring Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Chris Pratt in the finale of the Jurassic Park franchise.

Honestly they should pick up minutes after the first film ended.
All those dinos are still loose for cryin out loud . Kill the kids off quick or something since they've probably aged in the time between shoots

Yes, I wonder what happens with the Pterodactyls now? They just flew off yet no mention is made about them.

Surely they could end up causing problems in a number of places worldwide? The Jurassic World visitors can't be safe yet.

It's a few years later. Jurassic World is closed, bankrupt from thousands of lawsuits. The entire island is abandoned. Owen is recruited to oversee a specialized clean up crew. While there, they discover human activity on the island. Dr. Wu and his InGen team have been amongst the ruins on the island, utilizing its facilities to continue breeding dinosaurs for devious applications.

Cut off from the world by a tropical storm worse than the storm that plagued Isla Nublar in 1993, Owen and his crew are on their own with no outside help. They must survive on an abandoned island underneath the threat of free-roaming dinosaurs, and greedy businessmen and scientists who won't let anything - or anyone - stand in their way. Owen and crew must shut down their applications before the corrupt InGen workers can unleash a personal army of dinosaurs to the highest bidder.

Jurassic Survival - Humans are trapped on a third island and forced to live off their wits and survive the threat of co-existing with InGen dinosaurs. Owen Grady is sent in after InGen finds out and wants to use these humans for the purpose of understanding the dinosaurs.

I hope they don't do military trained raptors, which seems to be where they're going with Wu escaping and shit. I hope they bring back an original trilogy character, preferably Grant. I agree JW was not the movie to do that in but I think it would add a spark and incentive to the second one.

I would have Grant and Pratt's character teaming up to go back to the island for some McGuffin and they find Wu there with a secret team doing horrible experiments, like DisneyBlu suggested.

Jurassic War

After the events of Jurassic World, inGen suffers an economic crisis, with stocks plummeting and their plans for theme parks falling through. Dinosaur cloning becomes publicly condemned. They decide to make up for it in defense contracts, by secretly devoting their dinosaur cloning technology to weaponization and military applications. They design and create new dinosaurs in a secret lab on the mainland: dinosaurs that are bred to be perfect killing machines (maybe even cybernetic). As always, the dinosaurs prove to be smarter than their creators, and they use their cunning to break free and run loose in civilized areas and major cities.

Dr. Wu would undoubtedly be involved in all of this. Would prefer to have Owen and Claire return, to find out about inGen's agenda and try to stop them. Would be really smashing if Ian Malcolm and Alan Grant could get involved as experts who wind up getting caught in the man-vs-dinosaur conflict somehow.

I also just realized that the film would have to address what's going on with Isla Nublar and Sorna. In the past, I always speculated that world governments would want to nuke them to eliminate the dinosaurs and the threat they pose. Or maybe they could quarantine them, as they've been doing in JP2 and 3. One thing is certain though; if dinosaurs break loose in a mainland city and trash it completely, they could nuke the city. Instead of killing the dinosaurs though, they could mutant and become even bigger, more powerful monsters that can breathe fire (which would become the focus of a possible sixth movie). On top of all this, other countries may try to develop their own combat dinosaurs, which wind up being deployed and making an even bigger mess.

That's all I got. I always wanted to see a huge dino-pocalypse out of this series, and I think this might be the way they could approach it.

It's an awesome idea actually.

My only gripe is that we've already had four movies set on the islands already, with only one that expanded to the mainland. I'd personally welcome a change in scenery.

I think it would be cool to do a two-part finale, where all the main characters from previous installments came back. You could have Grant, Ellie, Malcolm, and Sarah, plus Lex, Tim, Owen, and Claire. Maybe even throw Billy Brennan and Eric Kirby back into the mix, too.

The story could revolve around Lex and Tim publicly condemning InGen's work since the events of the original film, being the public face of a movement to destroy all the cloning technology and quarantine all the islands permanently. Naturally, some allegiances would be split for the sake of drama, and conflicts between all the cast would end up being bridged so they all could survive. We'd need a couple of on-screen deaths though, to serve as a proper finale for the whole thing.
