Question so green about blu!

I just got a new 50in. HDTV and now I am looking into getting a Blu-ray. I have 500+ DVD movies and I need to know if I will still be able to play them on a Blu-ray player. Please let me know.

Yes you can play your standard DVDs on your Blu Ray player and in most circumstances you can also upscale your DVDs to 1080i.

Thumbs up

DVD's look pretty darn good upscaled by a blu-ray player.

Of course after you watch a few blu-ray movies you get spoiled...

Welcome to the forum BTW.

I have 425- 450 standard dvd's, don't remember the last time I watched one or bought one......kind of sad. your blu-ray player will upscale you SDvd's and they will look better. Once you start buying some blu's you will probably not be watching the standards very often
