Only have been periodically and randomly searching for a possible re-issue of the Dune Part1 Steelbooks since deciding to buy the Part 2. And didn’t know about this one until read HanShotFirst’s post. But did check the Walmart listing a little more frequently this morning when had a chance to do so just on off chance that the status would change since the listing was so new.

I randomly clicked on the link earlier today and it happened to be in stock, so I placed an order. Seems like it went out of stock a few minutes after that. So I guess you can call that luck.

I have the original steelbook, but I think I may actually prefer this one. I don't know, I just get the feeling it would match better with the steelbook for Part Two. Better contrast between them and such. The original one is just a little bland in comparison, especially since it has such a similar color scheme to Part Two's.

I'm skipping this one and just hanging onto the Wal-Mart glow-in-the-dark one (which looks better in person) to go with the Dune 2 Steelbook. Nice color contrast between them.




This one's really cool too, but it's over $50 on eBay.

Even though this is currently out of stock, I notice that the price is a few dollars cheaper than when I ordered so for those that missed out on the early pre-order will probably be able to pick this up for a better price when it comes back in stock.

I know it was available on the Italian Amazon site for a decent price but the shipping made it average out to like $60.

My local Walmart in southern Wisconsin still has copies of dune steelbook on shelf in store… it’s the one jus released running in sand cover…
