Default TX-SR705 Firmware update, Please help.
Ok guys, I've spent a total of six hours trying to do the DSP firmware update on my TX-SR 705. I've burned the disc to a Sony CD-R with NERO. I reconfigured my PS3 to output optical changed the settings to 44.1 instead of 48hz. Plugged it into the optical 1 on my receiver and changed it's settings for Game/TV to opt 1. It just keeps reading SPDIF/UPDATING..... I just got off the phone with ONKYO and they're going to send me the firmware disc just in case I burnt it wrong. Can someone on this forum please walk me through all the steps need to be taken on the PS3 set-up. So, when I get my disc I can try again before I make the two and a half hour drive to the nearest service center. Thanks you guys are awesome.
