Blu-ray same movie varies in quality? Issue? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey everyone

I have a PS3 and a samsung m87. A good setup for limited cash!

I've downloaded the Blu-Ray trailer for "Reighn over me". In some scenes (when the main characters are playing instruments) the background seems to be very unstill and pixelated. I hope you get the picture. I've had 3 m87's, happens with all and I also think it happened with my old PX70.

Is this just because of bad movie quality? It never seems to happen in bright scenes... mostly visible in scenes of dimmed lightning I've noticed. It happens On several movies (if not all to some degree) but its very noticable there.

Can anyone tell me what causes this?

it is mostliky a compressed + it is downloaded video.

Yeah, the trailers you download have much more compression. The BD looks fine.

Thanks but I really do think it also happens a bit on my The Patriot-DVD. Some scenes look better than other... but its true its not that noticable there. I also do think a movie like reign over me looked significantly more "blu" than the patriot, which didn't give me taht "wow-effect"... Any reason u think?
