Lmao...Exactly. 5 star picture quality handed out from HDD is very rare so when they do it's pleasantly surprising.

If you have any romance in your soul, you'll love this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it in the theater and I'm looking forward to the BD, especially with the ratings it's been getting. Another fine job by Disney.

+1. This was the point I was trying to convey. There are few people out here who bashes HDD reviews and reviewers irrespective of their ratings. Now that they have given excellent scores just wanted to check if those odd bunch still wants to challenge the reviewer.

"I have to give credit where it is due. Disney has been very consistent in the quality of their high definition release on blu-ray disc which has been excellent. Enchanted continues in the vein as it offers a reference quality video presentation. The 1080p AVC encoding offers superlative detail along with rich, bold, and vibrant colors. Images are rendered cleanly with an extended dynamic that exudes the three dimensional depth and eye popping visuals that are reminiscent of best high definition video. Contrast levels were on the upper end of the spectrum which over drive whites and slightly washed out blacks. I didn’t feel that this was a real negative as it helped give colors some additional vibrancy and didn’t completely obscure detail white level detail. Flesh tones had a bit of an orange cast to them but otherwise appeared to be okay. I saw no signs of artifacting or compression related issues what so ever. I salute Disney for their support of the blu-ray format as they have consistently provided the medium with solid presentations which will hopefully bring the format to mass adoption.

"Video: Wow. Disney consistently puts out the most jaw-dropping Blu-ray discs of any studio, and Enchanted stands strong as one of their very best. The film opens with an animated prologue windowboxed to 1.66:1 or so, and it's a thrill to once again see crisp, fluid, hand-drawn 2D animation in the iconic Disney style. The animation looks wonderful, but Enchanted truly impresses once Giselle wakes up underneath a Manhattan manhole and the image expands to fill the full 2.39:1 frame. This is easily among the most exceptional looking video I've seen on Blu-ray or any other format. The bright, candy-colored visuals are as close to a live action cartoon as I could ever have hoped for, overflowing with detail and bolstered by a practically three-dimensional sense of depth.

Enchanted is on the brink of total perfection, and the only gripes I have are ridiculously minor: the exaggerated palette leaves fleshtones looking a little skewed at times, and shadow detail seems unusually dense when Queen Narissa first bounds into the real world. Still, those are easily shrugged off, and they don't come close to dimming my enthusiasm for one of the most stunning high-def discs out of the...yikes!...literally hundreds that I've watched."

I don't think so, I haven't heard about a slipcover and mine didn't have one either.
