Hallmark Movies on Blu-ray

Both of these still need to be added to the Blu-ray.com database.

I am a bit worried that they say "Blu-ray disc" on top instead of showing the Blu-ray logo, which is usually a sign that these are MOD BD-R discs and not professionally pressed.



DVD Releases

A couple of you have asked me about adding DVDs to this thread. As it turns out, there's already an amazing thread for Hallmark DVDs by OceanBlue. I highly recommend checking it out and subscribing to it for Hallmark DVD announcements, updates, and comments.

If there are all Hallmark movies on Blu-ray that aren't in the OP, please post them below. If they're not in the Blu-ray.com database, preferably please add them yourself and link to them in this thread. Otherwise, just let us know.

Streaming Options

- Hallmark has its own service - Hallmark+ - but I believe it does not have the newer releases like Peacock does.

- FrndlyTV has live Hallmark airings that can be recorded to a DVR.

- Peacock streams the newest Hallmark movies for three days after their air date + a rotating library of older movies, which are accessible for longer but still come and go from the service.

- If you have access to Hoopla (free with a library card if your library supports it), they now have a "binge pass" for Hallmark Movies Now that lasts a week and can apparently be renewed again after. Credit: u/MGC7710 on r/HallmarkMovies

- Netflix has added 10 Hallmark Holiday movies

Misc. Musings

The most recent crop of Hallmark holiday movies features some superb gems - especially A Biltmore Christmas, Round and Round, and a few others - so it would be nice to see them make their way to Blu-ray in 2024.

— Update: We're getting Biltmore, but the jury is still out on whether it's a pressed disc or a MOD BD-R.

I also hope this paves the way for older releases already on DVD, particularly those from the Hallmark Hall of Fame collection - such as The Lost Valentine, One Christmas Eve, and Front of the Class.

There must be more Hallmark films on blu-ray.

Why not put the DVD-only's underneath the blu-rays
for the sake of comprehensiveness & completeness.

I attended Christmas Con this year, which is a Christmas themed convention but mostly a Hallmark star meet and greet. Wasn't really familiar with these, but I wanted to meet Alicia Witt who was in attendance and it was only a 40 min drive away! Anyway, started watching some of these featuring her and wouldn't mind picking them up if they were ever released on Blu-ray though I doubt it since they're a little older. I doubt I'll get into other ones, but I'm more acquainted with Hallmark Christmas movie culture now.

Didn't take pictures other than of a big Christmas tree and a selfie with Ms. Witt. I wish I'd taken more but I kind of just attended to meet her and the cast of the Vacation movies, and I guess I didn't think to. Though I admit the Christmas spirit was a little infectious when I got there.

I look forward to watching a couple Hallmark Christmas movies with my gf every year. I recently watched The Christmas Train (2017) with her, and really enjoyed it (I love movies set on/around trains in general). Shame it never got released on BD either, especially considering the bigger star power in it compared to most other Hallmark productions. We also watched The Royal Nanny (2022) earlier in the month, and that was enjoyable too.

I myself enjoy looking forward to what wonderful movies regular TV has to exclusively offer including for the holidays, they're nice and fun and shouldn't be overlooked. It all depends on what interests you.

Not Hallmark, but there was a movie on Sky in the UK last year called This Is Christmas, set mostly in the station and on the train taking commuters back and forth from their village to London and trying to get to know the people they see daily but never interact with. It's on MGM+ in the US now.

It's a convention so there's a lot of money being exchanged. But other than the Vacation stars, it seemed fairly reasonable for autographs from the Hallmark stars. I've been to conventions where forgotten stars of 80's sitcoms are asking for $80-100 for a signature.

This is a massive undertaking and something I would have to save for a rainy day, if at all.

For now, I've linked to the Blu-ray.com DVD listings for Hallmark itself and the previous Hallmark distributor Cinedigm. It's not a perfect solution, but it gives everyone access to the DVDs right away.

I haven't seen many Hallmark movies if I'm being honest, I just knew they existed because I saw them on MovieZyng and added some of them lol
