Default The Integra DTR-40.2, 50.2, 80.2 Official Thread

Just got this baby this afternoon, woooo I beleive its compareable to the Onkyo TX-NR808. New features include Audyssey DSX 4, Dolby pro logic IIz 3, just for starters. There is more listed, but are standard for the series of models.

Man! I'm having a hard time getting info on this new receiver from Integra, the DTR-40.2

So far, only that it has 7 HDMI inputs (6 on the rear, and one on front) and TWO HDMI outputs! Wow! Cool!

* It's still just too new, too fresh!

And I know zip about Audyssey DSX 4, same for Dolby Pro Logic IIz 3!

Power consumption is 6.3 A (I saw it on the picture from the rear).

*** This looks like a very sweet receiver! ...May I ask you what you paid for it?

Default Pictures and Price

There are pictures on the Integra site, if you go to the site map and look at Press Releases - Photo Library. Here is a link http://www.integrahometheater.com/photolibrary.cfm

There are pictures of both the new Integra DTR-40.2 and the Integra DTR-50.2

I picked up a 40.2 last night. It was listed for $999, but I had a $250 off coupon if I spent $1000 (they didn't make me but a dollars worth of cable). Great deal for $750. I was going to get the 30.2, but was able to move up to the 40.2 for less money.

Whicle it doesn't have Dolby Volume, it has Audyssey Dynamic EQ for listening at lower volumes, and Audysey Dynamic Volume, which is very similar to Dolby Volume. It also has THX Loudness Plus

I know that Miker07 or Theil24 has an Integra 30.3, you could go onto the Energy Thread and post to Miker, thats typically where he hangs out.

I own the Integra 30.3. Its a great receiver. Well built, excellent video processor, and a bargain as well. I've been very happy with it over the last 5 months or so.

Thank you for your input. I may go with the Integra or maybe even an Anthem MRX-300.....If I spent the extra 200....is it really worth it?

Good morning guys, I've been a proud Integra 40.3 owner for a few months now, (thanks to Steve "Callas01") but I have a question for you integra Guru's out there. I've been using my receiver for mostly movies, and have only used it for music 3 or 4 times, and then only momentarily.
Last night I decided to listen to a little music and it sounded rather flat to me.
What settings do you guys like for 2 channel stereo music?
For music I've been turning audyssey off, Equalizer off, and listening mode in stereo. It sounds a little better with Dynamic EQ on, but I feel I'm still missing something.
Movies sound incredible with audyssey of course, but music in stereo seems to be lacking a little to me (especially in the lower end).
I'm playing CD's with my Blu-ray player through HDMI, and the settings mentioned above. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mike

Hey Mike,
I use my Yamaha CD changes for music which is analog to the receiver. I prefer the all channel stereo and DTS Neo settings for music. It really sounds good. When I tried a CD on my blu-ray player through HDMI it didn't sound very good at all. I wonder if the HDMI connection isn't as robust as the analog connection for music?
