Paramount Jackass 3 (2010) [No 3D Blu-ray] [Anaglyph Blu-ray and Digital 3D Only]

fun movie, not as good the the previous, but fun. A few good 3d moment but more of a gimmic...........will definetly buy this on 3d blu-ray and the 3.5 version that will follow......I couldnt believe Regal cinema charges $16 a ticket for a 3d movie, outrageous!

Does anyone know if your TV has a 3D converter whether it works well on the Blu Ray for this?

It does NOT! This movie totally sucks on the 3D side of things. I got such a freaking headache wearing the 3D glasses that came with the movie. Then I switched to 2D version of the movie and turned on the 3D feature of my TV and attempted to use the 3D shutter glasses.

Results: Although I didn't get a much as a headache watching using the shutter glasses, the 3D effect totally sucked. If you are on the fence about buying this movie, I'd wait until they make another version that is made for using shutter glasses and not those cheap flimsy paper colored glasses.

Just my 2 cents.

Not to bump an old topic but I'm a big fan of Jackass and a blu-ray rerelease in the 3D format is something I search for at least once a week in hopes they will finally come around.

I actually emailed Paramount (figured why not, right) and flat asked them. Here is that exchange:

Subject: Question on upcoming 3d Bluray release

Hello,

Just curious if Jackass 3D has any hope of getting a release on Bluray 3d in true stereoscopic 3d format, not the current Red / Green anaglyph release.

Thank you for your time,
The response:

Dear Mr. Smith,

The only information we have is that it’s not on our current release schedule.

Thank you,

Consumer Customer Service
Bummer. I realize the Jackass collection is an acquired taste, lot's of gross out humor and all and some despise it but what can I say, I love the knuckleheads and their antics. This movie was incredible to see in 3D, really had some excellent shots - of course I was semi drunk at the theater with the largest beer Wherenberg sold in hand while the entire room was laughing, talking, and throwing popcorn (seeing this movie was an experience all together, nobody turns around and says SHHH at a Jackass movie heh.. probably the best time I've ever had at the big screen)

Hopefully one day they will come to their senses and release an extended version or something on the proper format, I would gladly hand my money over for it.

I did the same thing. For this movie I did the 2D to 3D conversion on my tv (GT30) and while the 3D wasn't intense it certainly wasn't good either.

Anyway, movie was okay i guess. The first is my favorite but just can't watch these movies over and over. The gags get old from movie to movie and in 3 I felt like they were running out of ideas.

Is it that hard for them to make a true 3D Blu-ray? I was crying laughing in the cinema when I saw it in 3D, and I'd LOVE to see it again.

Studios seem to be going back and releasing 3D films as 3D Blu-rays (Chicken Little, The Final Destination, etc etc), so perhaps Jackass 3D will appear sometime. Until then, I'll stick with my pirated version of the film and won't buy it
