So, I was wondering, how many of you have or thought about buying 4K discs before getting the proper equipment?
Normally this isn't something I would think much about, but I figured if I'm *potentially* going to upgrade, and since virtually every 4K release I've seen comes with the 1080p blu-ray... why not? I can watch the regular HD blu-ray for the time being and then "bump up" to the 4K disc once getting the proper equipment. Now, as a collector, there are instances where this can get tricky. For example, I want to snag the Best Buy exclusive steelbook of Deadpool, but I'd love to get the 4K disc. Perhaps I'll buy the steelbook and ask for the 4K disc as a gift :-P I'm sure this is why many companies are going the combo pack route in this scenario, trying to reel in "early adopters". |
