I don't how to take this but it seems a rather desperate act on the part of Fox Studios. The reason I believe this is that marvel Studios has a demonstrated good track record at producing hit movie adaptions of its superhero characters where Fox Studios has failed with their films, with the exception of the X-Men.
My guess is that Fox Studios wants access to the entire library of Marvel Studios superhero characters. Daredevil, Elektra, Fantastic Four have all failed at the box office and it appears that this latest move is nothing more than a desperate attempt to expand their own cinematic universe, using a wide array of characters that it does not have the rights to. Slashfilm is reporting about this rumored news and I hope that Marvel Studios does not give in and agree to this. Fox needs to return the rights to Fantastic Four back to Marvel Studios and retain distribution rights and allow Marvel Studios to produce the X-Men films. At least we would see Bryan Singer ejected from making these films and allow them to be produced faithfully. http://www.slashfilm.com/marvel-stud...fox-crossover/ |
