Default The Deep Blue Sea - July 24, 2012

"Rachel Weisz - in what has to be the performance of her career, and there have been lots of good ones."
- Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

"The movie is a museum of emotions, brought to contemporary life through the director’s artistry and his leading lady’s fire. Here, they show us, is how people felt, and hurt, in another time. Their love and pain can touch us today."
- Richard Corliss, TIME

Set in post-WWII London, The Deep Blue Sea is a British romantic drama featuring Rachel Weisz (The Mummy, The Constant Gardener) and Tom Hiddleston (War Horse, The Avengers).

Directed by Terence Davies (The House of Mirth), the film is adapted from the play by Terence Rattigan.

Music Box Films will release the film on Blu-ray and DVD on July 24, 2012.

I'm super excited for this release. One of my favorite films of the year. Weisz won't receive an Oscar nomination because the film's low-profile release early in the year, and it will be a criminal snub.
