In Germany, Season 2 and 3 are on Blu-ray. I dont know if there will ever be a domestic release though.

I don't think we'll ever see shows of this nature on blu. As much as I would love to see Seinfeld on blu, I don't know how much they could upgrade the show.

Other shows I don't think would ever make blu unless the company sees ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE POTENTIAL or DVD completely bites the dust:

1. King of Queens
2. Seinfeld
3. Everybody Loves Raymond
4. (the rest of the seasons of...) The Office (maybe a complete collection when the series ends maybe?)
5. Frasier
6. That 70's Show
7. Yes Dear
8. Friends (maybe, because of the fan base)

and many others. I would like to see more shows on blu however, but I'm certainly not holding my breath

Thumbs up RE: King of Queens Blu-Ray

I definitely see releases for these titles eventually. It probably will not be until DVD sales slump. Plus these shows are all currently in syndication bringing in incredible revenue. In 2012 or so, I believe syndication contracts will be running out. Then the BLU sets will be released with exclusive features that entice the public to double-dip.

I'm really hoping for Seinfeld sets soon though. I'm a huge fan and have already bought all DVD sets. The Film masters on both Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond have already been used to make new HD copies of the show.

Try to catch these on TBS HD and you will see how awesome they look. Seinfeld has a decent amount of grain (which adds a neat element to the show )

In short, it's easy to upgrade as its already been done. The problem is the profit and whether it's worth it for Studios.

I hope you're right. I already have the entire series on DVD, but I bought the German blu-rays a while back. The PQ is way better, it's ridiculous. I know they have the rest of the seasons on HD because they're on TBS. I just hope they arrive sooner than later.

I would love to see X-Files although most of the seasons were not shot in Widescreen

I wouldn't buy the German set anyway, seeing as how season one is 4:3 even though they air Season one on TV in uncropped 16:9 HD.

Your overwhelming attraction to Leah Remini and need to see Bryan Cranston in a comedic role will win out eventually.

You can get the Complete Series Blu-ray from Amazon for 146$

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-K...Blu-ray/58483/

I think the price may go down even further though, as it was closer to 200 not too long ago and has been going down since.

i bought the new BD box set recently off Amazon US fro $199.....more than i wanted to spend but out of pocket was $75 after giftcards.

The one thing that bugs me is that its slightly sped up vs the DVD version that I've been watching for years. It's the first thing I noticed watching a season 9 episode where it starts with the KoQ Theme. Compared it to DVD and its actually playing 3% faster than the DVD version. To me its noticable and slightly distracting sometimes. I have to slow HPC down to 97% if i want it at the speed i'm used to.

I definitely recommend grabbing the German box set, it can be grabbed pretty cheap these days and the packaging is a lot better than expected. Made it's way to Australia with not a spot of damage! Quality is also great, and the speed-up can easily be fixed using the method mentioned above. Still, if you're from a PAL country you're used to it.
