Default BD+ and OEM SW updates...

I finally got my Dell Inspiron fired up! I plan on purchasing a different player for BD, either Cyberlink or Arcsoft (if it gets here soon enough) but, I'm wondering about the Dell Media Direct player and people's experience with it...

From what I can tell, Media Direct uses a plug-in from Cyberlink for BD playback. I patched in the most recent update and can play all of my Die Hard Collection BD's but, none of my Spiderman Trilogy BD's will play.

I was under the impression that it would be the other way around, since the Die Hard Collection was released after the Spiderman Trilogy? When I pop one of the Spidy's in, it will begin to play, a spiderman emblem flashes on the screen then... nothing. These are the only BD's I have so far so, I can't test with anything else. I've installed AnyDVD and AnyDVD HD thinking that this might resolve the issue but, no joy.

Dell tech support is not a great resource for BD playback issues so, I present my case to the kind folks here. Any thoughts?

EDIT: Almost forgot, here are my PC's spec's...
Dell Inspiron 1720
Intel C2D T7500 (2.2GHz/800Mhz FSB/4MB cache)
3Gb SDRAM (DDR2 at 667MHz/Asymmetric Dual Channel)
nVidia GeForce 8600M GT (256Mb)
Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio (Express Card)
250Gb HDD (5400 RPM)
Matshita BD-RE UL 220 (2x BDD)
Windows Vista Ultimate (x86)

Happy Holidays everyone!
