A couple of posts over on the Disney Movie Club thread had me wondering - what if Disney was more open to sub-licensing their properties out to other distributors? Personally, I'd be all in for Criterion and Shout! Factory handling them, just as the former has done with a few Touchstone films (specifically those directed by Wes Anderson) and the latter has done with Gravity Falls.
Just imagine what could be done... - More deluxe editions of the major titles - Films/shorts/shows that either haven't been continued, upgraded to a better format, or released at all - Better restorations (and video transfers) for titles that were previously tinkered with on at least one home video release Hear me out on this, because this just may help their home video division tremendously! |
