Default 4K Expert Help - Disney/Pixar Movies

So recently I'm to new 4K collecting this year.. I'm a HUGE fan of the Disney Pixar films so I always see that their films are usually very high in price.. Anyway right now I noticed a bunch of Pixar films JUST under $20 on Amazon here:

Brave
A Bug's Life
Cars
Inside Out
The Good Dinosaur
Ratatouille

Per CamelCamelCamel it says it's the best deal however I know $20 ain't that bad but does Disney EVER drop them lower than this? Or is $20 a good buy for the Pixar films?

The Disney Movie Club is a great way to collect multiple of your fave films at a lower price. However, if you don’t want the hassle of signing up, fulfilling purchases w/titles just because your obligated, etc, than $20 for a 4K Disney/Pixar title is good. Have they been lower? Yes, a couple Black Fridays ago they went lower. Also, Best Buy exclusive SteelBooks also went lower earlier this year. But for an everyday price of $20 or lower, I would say is a “good” price.

I wish I knew about this a long time ago before I purchased a bunch of Disney movies haha, but I guess I could dip into the 4K pool with this since I mostly bought 3D Blu-rays for these.

Is there a monthly membership fee?

To be fair, Disney in particular starts their movies at $30, and not just brand new releases, even catalog films from the 90s... while others are slightly lower at $28... and didn't Fox use to be $25 before Disney bought them?

No but you have make sure you decline a featured title when they have one or you get charged automatically. The 4K titles aren't available for enrollment, so you'd have to wait for a sale or discount to get them for less than retail.

Some Disney / Pixar UHDs are in 2 for $AU40 on Australian JB Hi-Fi, in the basket the prices drops with additional -30% discount:

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/collections/2-for-40-4k

Keep in mind that most of them are single disc editions.

Disney has a history of high prices all the way back to VHS. For 4K, they usually start at 29.99 and usually sit at in the 20s. If you see them for $19, it's probably not going to get much cheaper than that.

In 2019, a lot of them dropped briefly to 14.99 and that's when I jumped on a bunch. Your best bet is probably eBay or the trading section on this forum if you are looking for deals. I think $20 is worth it though considering it's likely the last time you'll ever have to buy these movies and are getting them in the best possible quality.

I’ve found that Disney seems to reserve the wallet rape for the US. If you can play region free discs, ordering from Amazon UK is a great way to save money. For example, I see the Inside Out Blu on sale for a little more than £5.39. You’ll have to pay a little for shipping, but they’ll knock VAT off the final price. And shipping might take two weeks. That said... you can save some good money this way.

Disney Movie Club is the way to go. There is a long running, very informative and helpful thread in the Movie and TV Deals subforum here on blu-ray.com

I second this. The Australian releases are a great way to get the Pixar movies for a decent price as they only contain the 4K disc. I’ve imported a good few and will get the rest at some point.

Nearly all of Disney's BDs are region free anyway, and obviously all the 4K ones too.

Because of over pricing products to the point they’re unaffordable?

Wait for Target buy-two-get-one-free deal. That's how I bought the majority of my Pixar discs. You also just missed the Zavvi (UK disc) 3 for $36 Disney deal.
