I might pick this up since I'd like to have both cuts of the movie.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't be.

Yup, it definitely will be the UK cut. Same disc as in the Kubrick boxset and the individual UK release.

I think I will order it if they use the original key art (with embossment).

Here's my idea for the steel:

Front: The entire image is the bathroom door that says REDRUM on it. The Redrum is embossed
Insider Art: Jack breaking through the door on one side (behind the door cover) and Wendy and Danny on the other side
Back: It could be anything, but I'd like the typed up page where Jack types "All Work and No Play makes Jack a Dull boy"

I don't like that
[Show spoiler]"redrum"
cover since it's a major spoiler IMO.

I don't consider it a major spoiler. Most covers show Jack breaking through the door, that's probably a bigger spoiler than seeing redrum on a door. I don't think in either case it really gives away anything other than the fact that things aren't quite right, which I have to imagine anyone watching The Shining would probably be aware of.

In my opinion, the
[Show spoiler]"redrum"
mystery should be revealed in the movie (with that amazing soundtrack). Anyway, that original key art has never been used for previous BD releases and the
[Show spoiler]"redrum"
one has.

I agree with you to a point, BUT this is a classic and one of my all time favs and I will definitely pick it up if the artwork is nice... I was hoping they would have at least given it a digibook like they did with a clockwork orange but I would have never thought they would release it in a steelbook

I wish Zavvi would set up a subscription service if they are going to continue like this. We could sign up, automatically receive a pre-order for every exclusive, and then cancel the ones we don't want. Then I wouldn't have to spend all of my time checking this forum, checking their stupid website, and trying to get in before they sell out on the good ones.

IMO this movie has always sucked....loosely based on the book that was outstanding.

Will probably NEVER watch the film again, can't see why I'd buy a steel for it
