IMO this movie has always sucked....loosely based on the book that was outstanding.

Will probably NEVER watch the film again, can't see why I'd buy a steel for it

A bright yellow steel reminiscent of the original poster wouldn't have been a big crowd pleaser

The fake looking door and the title font don't appeal to me, at all.

I do like the Steel, as mentioned earlier, but I do hope they release other kubrick movies in steels just like it. The design was made for several of his movies, so just releasing The Shining would be sort of incomplete to me.

Here's the whole collection (taken from the German db pages):

I'm glad I'm not a big fan of them so I don't have to start collecting them.

I thought the same. 2001 as already had a release in a few countries so the Kubrick Steelbook collection may not be too far off.

Maybe they are just copying what's come before, but, they did put "Stanley Kubrick's" on the spine. So let us imagine that is intentional so that they can all be lined up in one sweet Stanley Kubrick brick of SteelBooks. Stanley SteelBrick.

Pretty tempting
It would've been nice if one his more obscurer titles like eyes wide shut or barry lyndon. Then I wouldn't hesitate. I'm leaning towards passing.

I wouldn't have ordered it if that was the art... the credits clutter up the front and who the heck is that supposed to be in the title anyway?... it looks more like the marshmallow man from ghostbusters than anyone else lol

Default Dudes and dudettes...

What can I say ...

It's Kubrick and it's a steelbook Kubrick ... the money may as well have already evaporated from my bank account.

It shall be mine.

I like the pic that one member posted with the carpet and Danny playing on it. That looked pretty cool.

And the back should be him busting through the door. That scene is too I iconic not to have on there somewhere.
