Read a lot of good reviews for this although it never played near me theatrically, will definitely check it out on video. Between The Witch at the beginning of 2016 and this at the end, seems to have been a good year for female practitioners of the dark arts!

Really wish I had seen this in theaters, I noticed when it came out but was gone within a week or so. Tempted to blind-buy it even, the trailer is that good.

That trailer is epic. I didn't even hear about this until a couple weeks ago, and I've been desperate to see it ever since. This looks awesome.

Day one blind buy for me, for sure.

I was fortunate to see this in a local theater a couple weeks ago where it screened for two nights. You might have heard that Anna Biller not only directed the movie but also took on screenwriting, producing, editing, music scoring, production designing, set designing, art decorating, and costume designs!

Usually I'd take this jack-of-all-trades approach to movie creation as a big red flag that some aspect is going to fall by the wayside. Not so with The Love Witch. Everything joins together wonderfully, and the movie is a beauty to behold as it I felt really transported to an era I wasn't even alive to experience.

However... maybe because I was tired from a long day combined with a late night showing, but The Love Witch's plot wears thin over its two hour span. I think it could have benefited greatly from some tighter editing and scripting decisions to make it a more concise feature.

Is it worth a blind-buy? If you're into quirky indie films, as I am, then I would say yes but with the above caveat.

The trailer makes this either look like an awesome throwback or a low budget attempt at one. I will have to check it out. I had never heard of it, so thanks OP.

It looks to me to be a low budget awesome attempt at a throwback.

They can all be true!

The trailer for director Anna Biller's previous film Viva is also a lot of fun:

Viva is great too and, from memory, a pretty fantastic looking DVD. I contacted Anna through her website a while back and asked about the possibilty of a Blu-ray release and she said there were no immediate plans. Hopefully that will change if The Love Witch does well.

Anna Biller seems obsessed with low-budget exploitation cinema of the 1960's and 1970's. I'd call her films "retro."

I really wanted to see this. But I don't think we got it. It was only in 22 theaters in the country. Should have been a day and date digital release

Viva was quite fun, I'm excited to finally see this one.

Does anybody know of the particulars on the Circle of Trust thing? At checkout there's no option for bluray or DVD. I would love to sign up in time to nab this release.
