Don't get used to them.
There were too many of them already, and hopefully they will be a now and then thing.
Too many people sit on their ass and say "i'll wait to pick up that movie until the next bogo" and it is more harmful than it is helpful.

I never used to wait and then you'd start seeing movies you bought last week go on BOGO and it makes you a little sad inside.

I agree it would be nice to see amazon be more blu-ray supportive.

While it seems Blu-Ray's B1G1's are more frequent.... the HD-DVD one's on Amazon seem to be MUCH longer. I don't remember any of them lasting more than 3-4 days and this current HD-DVD one is already on it's 5th day.

I recall the last one they had lasted about 5 days also.

BOGO devalues your disc collection, look at it like that, If you are paying 25-30 a disc then they BOGO, Your resale value is quashed as people know they could get the same disc new from a BOGO.
just a thought.....

Last week was a missed opportunity for a BOGO at the brick and morter stores. There were tons of gift cards that would have been spent on Blu-ray if there were any deals.

I went to BB to purchase Rush Hour 3. It was $35 and so I kindly placed it back and left the store.

I usually never have the opportunity to take advantage of BOGO because I buy something each Tuesday. But I would also never pay $35 for a movie. I'd rather look for a deal online.

Are you newly Blu? Amazon has had nearly 10 Blu BOGO's before the first red one and no where near as many red ones. I think they've helped the Blu cause more than you give them credit for. I was hoping for another Blu BOGO before my 10% expires, but oh well...

I agree Bogo's are more harmfull then helpful but dont hate us for waiting for them. Who in their right mind would spend $30.00 on one BR disc when they can get 2 for that price??

Exactly. After I'm done using my gift cards and coupons and all, I won't be buying any new movies for a long time...unless there's a BOGO sale. lol. Netflix will have to do for now.

This is exactly what I've been saying all along. My wife calls the BOGO buys - The Fill Your Movie Shelf Sale - because they're usually not new titles, hehe

I wouldn't expect BOGO's to be nearly as common now that the holiday shopping season is over. Before the fourth quarter they only happened about once a month or so, then they were going on nearly constantly through the holidays.

At any rate, Frys.com still has 1/2 off on a number of Fox titles ($13.99 each) right now, which is essentially B1G1... except you don't have to buy in pairs.

BOGO are usually the same ole title. I have maxed out all the BOGO already. I'm back to regular mode purchasing now for new titles.
