I am kind of glad it will be a while as odd as it sounds.
Too many people sit back and will not buy movies because they were spoiled by bogos.
You can get movies at great prices without bogos.

I had mentioned before that this seems the most likely time to have one if they are going to have one. Really kick HD-DVD when they are down

It would be nice if Paramount came back and had a BOGO for all of their previously released Blus though - kind of like a "Please accept our apologies for leaving" sale

I think not having them anymore is a mistake.

Also seeing BD prices going up on Amazon,Buy.com,Frys, and Netflix possible rasing of prices is a bummer. I just dont get why they would do this. We need MORE people adopting BD, not less. They are going the wrong direction.

I know I wont be buying unless its a BOGO, on sale, etc.

We need more people adopting, but we don't need people who will never buy movies unless they are on bogo.
If that were the gateway to success hd would have won with their firesale player prices.
Blu knows what they are doing and it is working just fine.

Hopefully American Gangster and/or Beowulf week. Blu will win the week regardless...but why not reward the loyal consumers with a bogo!

Instead of BOGO's, I'm rooting for new releases having a street price of $19.95 - $24.95 and catalogs & older titles (6+ months old) being around $14.95 EVERY DAY.

X-Men 3, for example, shouldn't be $23.95 on Amazon (or anywhere else) anymore, it should be $14.95 period.

Is Beowulf much of draw as compared to Transormers or Bourne Ultimatum that they need a BOGO? I know I saw it opening weekend and didn't think it was a good as the hype and the theater was pretty bear for an opening weekend. I don't know what it took in dollar wise, but I guess it doesn't concern me hurting blu-ray that week.

I personally have a real hard time shelling out $30-$35 for a BD title. I think that is holding back alot of potential adopters, knowing what the price of movies are currently going for. I won't go to BB unless there is a BOGO. Admittedly they have the best selection of anything anywhere, but $25 or less is about tops for me. Usually I get my BDs from Amazon.
