YES!! This move was awesome, can't wait to own it on blu. It's gonna look amazing. I hope they end up doing the sequels.

Is there any word on an extended cut of this movie? I've heard some previous rumblings but nothing official. From my understanding the movie seemed a bit short and could benefit from an extension.

Either way, I'm looking forward to finally seeing (and possibly owning this on Blu).

Frankly I hope the Blu case has a slip that matches the DVD. The Blu really doesn't compliment the art well. I'd love a white or a gold case instead.

And yes, I'd support this release even if it was barebones, as a sign of my support for the entire bold venture New Line has undertaken. But now it seems they'll spoil us with riches -- extras up to the wazoo, and on a separate disc to allow for the best possible encode of the film and the video. Mmm, I can already smell those high bitrates and 7.1 lossless audio...

Here's hoping for a slipcase, too. Although blue and orange/gold, being complimentary colors, don't actually clash.

Scenes from the extended cut have already been posted online (the videogame features them as cutscenes), and it seems the film Weitz shot will be a treat for the fans of the book. The only way we'll get it is by supporting this release, of course!

Loved the movie, but would love to see a version at least 30 min longer. The pacing was the only thing a bit off in the theatrical version. I wouldn't mind double dipping if it meant an extended cut.

While this may have been a disappointing adaptation of one of my favorite books, this blu-ray is undeniably excellent. The video, audio, and the extras alone make this worth a purchase.

That and the gorgeous slipcover.

This movie was watered-down and weak.

I hear the BBC is rebooting it as a series w/ Logan's Daphne Keen in the lead.

When my Daughter was young, we really enjoyed this movie. The blu ray audio/video mastering is outstanding. I'm praying this gets a UHD release with ATMOS or DTS:X audio upgrade.

Still one of the best slip covers I've ever seen on the original release. I liked the movie well enough to also buy the steelbook.
