I belive ALOT of blu-ray will be bought during jan

Here are dec 2007 worldwide figures:

Total Worldwide Sales for the Month of December:

DS 6,474,403
Wii 3,869,926

PSP 2,399,757
PS3 2,081,432
PS2 1,958,444

Xbox360 1,894,335

There will be more exclusive PS3 games on the way...360 is DEAD along with HD DEAD...

Xbox 360 only has America left. PS3 will dominate it in the rest of the world and achieve parity with it in the US in 18-24 months.

If the numbers are correct, even the PS2 outsold the 360. Enuf said.

Why, oh, why, oh, WHY do people use VGChartz as some sort of indicator? The source article is linked from VGChartz, and you might as well throw darts at a board and come up with numbers that are as likely to be accurate.

I wouldn't go quite that far as to say that the 360 is dead. It is still the console of choice for the majority, and the media. People will buy whatever the media (ie. gaming mags/web sites) tell them too. (Of course, let's not forget that MS has their hand in the cookie jar of MOST media outlets and retailers.) Plus, despite its faults, it still is a really good system with tons of fun games. I own one and enjoy it.

Of course, today I just got my PS3 so I'm happy as a pig in slop.

It's interesting to see that 20% of PS3's install base came from holiday sales. Obviously the price drop and Blu promo played a hand in that, but I think the release of some really great titles for PS3 swayed a lot of people. It did for me!
