I heard a bunch of them were being stolen. They had a few truckloads go missing in northern VA.

MY Circuit City and many others only got six 60GB versions -- we had people camping outside the store since Tuesday.

My currently local (I'm on holiday

) Best Buy had 89 20GB units and 20 60GB ones after midnight this early morning. The 109 all sold out within 30 minutes. It was interesting seeing whole familes coming out with one PS3 in arm each. (Daddy PS3, mommy PS3, johnny PS3, susie PS3, for them!).
They had 26 more units for sale at 8:00 am. People were cuddling themselves in tents at midnight at -10 degree below freezing weather getting ready for the 8 hour wait for that 8 am batch.

i really can't believe that they let each member of family purchase one. completely legal obviously, just sucks for everyone else

And it wasn't just one family or group! I saw several SUV trunks getting more than 1 box in with all family members wrapped in blankets. Then at around 12:30 am the PS3 Yakuza arrived like ants and was trying to sell me and my beautiful blonde assistant and double agent, one or two. They were dissapointed we were just there as BR.com watchers
