Burn Witch Burn (1962) Blu-ray (Kino Special Edition)

Kino will be releasing a new Special Edition release of Burn, Witch, Burn (aka Night of the Eagle) (1962) on September 17th. This new release will include both US and UK versions of the film, and will be in a 1.66:1 aspect ratio (it was 1.85:1 in the previous release. It will also include a new commentary track from Tim Lucas.

Thanks to Kino releasing BURN WITCH BURN and Severin releasing Barry Mahon's THE DEAD ONE, I will now be able to recreate that double-bill I saw first-run back in 1962.

That’s good news. 1.66 is the best AR.

Still wish this were a 4K release, but I guess it was only scanned in 4K and not finished in it, and that would be extra work that KL wouldn’t be willing to do? Just trying to understand the logic, what with all the other head scratcher 4Ks they’ve been announcing lately.
