I buy about 10x more Blu-rays than you do, it will take me just over a year I think. Maybe 18 months.

Actually, in 10 years download will probably be the norm at that point anyway...

I was at 50 blu-rays fairly quickly , the feeling of participating in a "Format War" made me very competitive, once WB delivered the finishing blow, I sort of slowed down how much I have been buying. But I do still buy My fair share.

Try this free website to keep track of your Blu-rays:

http://www.dvdspot.com/

It's great to have this available.

It probable took me about 8 or 9 months to reach 50. That was MUCH quicker than would have been the case in the absence of the "format war". When the PS3s first came out, they were very hard to find. A "community" of folks looking for PS3s quickly formed at Amazon.com in the discussion forum for the 60GB PS3. I was in the market for a PS3 for my son with the thought that I'd use it occasionally to watch a Blu-ray movie. However so many HD-DVD "fan boys" came into the site to basically attempt to torment us. Their attempts to torment were unsuccessful. The most they achieved was to annoy the hell out of us. And their continued attacks had the unintended consequence of motivating MANY folks such as me to become much bigger consumers of Blu-ray products than we might have otherwise. If some of these "fanboys" were in fact paid by the HD-DVD folks to spread FUD, it was a major blunder.

It took me just over a year to get over 120. Started my collection last year when i was on Holiday in Houston. Came back with over 20 blu-rays so it might have taken me a few months to get to 50. should be closing in on 150 by years end.

I suppose that mathematically speaking I should say "infinity" since I don't have 50 blurays yet

But on a more down-to-earth estimate and considering my criteria for acquiring Blurays, I shall say: couple years maybe
