Default Canton Speakers

Has anyone had experience with these speakers? I never heard of them, and I saw them on accessories4less.com.

Default Canton speakers are very good!

They are made in Germany and have always had a very consistent clean, natural sounding speaker, and virtually every line and model shares that great smooth sound unlike other brands. I highly recommend Canton speakers they are my favorite speaker. I have a pair of the Ergo towers with two 9" woofers and the matching center channel with two 7" woofers and tweeter.

Accessories for less has some great bargins for Cantons, often they are last years models but they are new and you can not go wrong with any model of the Canton line!

I've never heard them but they are well liked amongst the reviewer set.

Thumbs up You can not go wrong with Canton...

Canton makes their own drivers in Germany and their sound is very natural and smooth. To me they are a clear high end speaker but offer incredible value when you compare them to much more expensive speakers; they are well above any of the more familiar big box or average stereo stores that sell Polks, JBL's, etc. All of their speaker lines sound great and here are a couple examples:

Conclusion

Make no mistake, the Canton Ergos are audiophile speakers capable of reproducing beautiful music and movies with visceral impact, clarity, and intensity. Those accustomed to a forward, big-bass sound may find them a little laid-back at first. But surrendering to this apparent lack of boom would be a mistake. The Ergo system's bass quality is what gives them their splendid sense of balance and speed. And balance is why this Canton Ergo lineup represents an outstanding home-theater loudspeaker system.

The Canton GLE speakers have a very natural, accurate sound quality with two-channel and multichannel music, and they are extraordinarily effective with movie soundtracks. I will be reluctant to return them to Canton, but as a struggling reviewer, I must once again resist the temptation to purchase every product I like.

daviddekanter's another owner of these. He's got some pic's of them up in his gallery as well using them for his fronts. They look nice - wish I could hear them just like I wish I could hear every other speaker - I've got little access to audio stores.

I noticed accessories4less also sells KEF's for a real good price - at least compared to what I can get them for here in Canada. Now those are speakers I actually have heard and they sound real nice, especially for the price - the IQ5's are only $399 for the pair - and IQ7's $599 for the pair. Eddie Nyce owns these and loves them - I agree with him they sound awesome and are great for that price. Just thought I'd mention it since it seems like you were lookin at a variety of speakers. Sorry for gettin off topic with the Cantons.

Thumbs up

Yes Accessories for less has some great deals. I've listened to Kefs and while nice in my opinion the Cantons are smoother. They have Canton tower speakers starting at $649 on up depending on your budget http://www.accessories4less.com/make...s/1.html:rock:
