Someone needs to tell Amazon that Pride and Prejudice blu-ray isn't Pat & Mike in their title listing.

This classic 1940 Pride and Prejudice movie received a 4K scan and restoration from the surviving 35mm film elements (the orginal negative might not have been used at all or only used in some movie scenes because of its condition). Warner Bros should have released this movie on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format (and maybe one day they might), instead a standard 2K (1080P) Blu-ray was released. Maybe it was not in the budget to offer a colorized version so the original black and white is what people get. I guess people should be happy that the 1940 Pride and Prejudice movie received a standard Blu-ray release back on 7-28-2020, since this movie originally lost $241,000 back when it was released in 1940. The movie had a budget of over $1.43 million dollars and box office sells was only $1.849 million dollars.
While I am not a fan of the movie (some people really love this classic movie, a family member that I know loves the Pride and Prejudice story), the standard dual layer Blu-ray disc uses 38.8GB of space out of 50GB with MPEG-4/AVC codec at high video bit rates using the 1080P resolution. For a 1940 black and white movie the picture quality is gorgeous. In terms of audio quality all Warner Bros releases should be like this one. The movie and 100% of the extra features uses lossless audio. Many studios only do lossy audio for extras, however Warner Bros for this release gave everyone lossless audio for 100% of the extra features. All the extras use the MPEG-4/AVC codec, with 1080P for the Eyes of the Navy and Theatrical Trailer. The Fishing Bear cartoon is MPEG-4/AVC with 480i SD. The Eyes of the Navy was an interesting documentary to watch.
