Default What is the longest you have endured not buying a single Blu-ray?

well, living a situation right now that is beyond my control where I can't buy any Bluray at all and is getting on my nerves, I was wondering what about you?

How long have you endured not buying a Bluray?

I'm in 1 month right now and still going....

I lived in rural Europe for two years (2012 and 2013) and didn't buy a single anything, other than food and clothes. It was actually kind of awesome, and a part of me wishes I never came back. You really don't miss blu-rays, video games and 60" TVs anymore after a month or so.

I'm saving for a new car at the moment so hadn't purchased one in the last three weeks, which was the longest period of time since September 2014 when I started collecting. I caved in today and ordered 4 of the new Limited Edition Disney Pixar releases.

I've gone a month or two, probably many months at some point. It's not a need for me. I only buy what I will watch multiple times. I don't buy movies just because they are cheap(I used to do this). I go through spurts I guess, but I'm not a hardcore collector like most on this site, though there is nothing wrong with that either.

Since keeping track of my collection here, it looks like my longest lulls have ranged between 2-4 months.

6-8 months, didn't have substantial time to watch many films so my interest overall waned.

I don't feel like sifting through my entire collection. But I'm guessing since I joined this site, it's probably less than a month.

My internet connection went down in a thunderstorm a few months ago, and I was not able to log on to Amazon.com to buy any Blu-rays.

That was the longest four minutes of my life.

It been almost a year for me. My last purchase was Guardians of the Galaxy last year. I almost have my finances back in order and plan on making up for that lost time very soon!
