Default Amazon DVD player rankings

Well they have shifted a bit since last week...

The A3 is still #1, somehow

but more interesting... several BD Players are in the top 25 now, there were none or barely any in December.

Note that the DMPBD30 from Panasonic is #3 overall in DVD players.

Yeah but that doesn't matter, it will drop...

the exciting part is the explosion of sales for Panasonic, Samsung and Sony.

Extras, you know in case the old HD DVD player craps out on you so you still have something to play your HD DVDs on if Toshiba stops making them.

My guess about the A3 is that some people anticipate huge discounts in HD DVD discs once the format goes under (we all know it is, Tosh just hasn't thrown the towel officially yet).
Also, they figure that at that price, it's still a decent DVD player hehe.

Very nice sales for the Panny though !

FINALLY

The Panasonic DMPBD30 has surpassed the HD-A3 to take #1 in DVD Players at Amazon...

Here's the link if I am allowed to post to them, if not please remove link
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers...rsr_e_2_3_last

The shift has begun, the downward spiral of the A3 at amazon.

Nice.
the BD30 should soon be #1, I think with a lot of people (HD_DVD) jumping into Blu now, most will opt for the Panasonic....or at least they should

Edit: sorry, didn't see the last two posts, it looks like the BD30 has already done it !!!!

If a $419 plsyer is kicking ass, imagine what the $399 PS3 is doing.

The other cool thing, is the number of Bluray players in the dvd top sellers now.

With many more players coming this year. Looks good.

Haha 67 X3's being sold by individuals compared to 6 of the Panny's. People are dumping their crap already.
