Default Blu-Rays that could have Atmos, but don't

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find anything when searching. Anyway, I've notice a handful of studios (Sony, Disney, Fox to name a few) that only offer Atmos soundtracks on their 4K releases. Does this irritate anybody else? I know in the grand scheme of things this is hardly a big deal, but I just felt like complaining. Given that there are other studios that release Atmos on both their HD Blus and their 4k Blus, we know there's no reason not to include them other than to charge the premium associated with the 4k disc. Hopefully the other studios don't abandon Atmos on HD Blus - I'd hate for Atmos to slowly become a 4K exclusive benefit.

Studios are putting in bare mininum effort at boutique price points since they know 3D is basically a marginal but somewhat cult/fanatical collector base. It's kind of like the last year or so of LD when some major studios weren't even including an AC-3/5.1 track for brand new relesses. There are pretty much no 'new' folks on board since only certain projectors and/or possibly desktop pc monitors are still being made for 3D. They know they can compromise the audio and most who were wanting a 3D release will buy it anyway. The lack of new tvs with capability and uhds authored for 4k kind of silently killed any momentum and I'm kind of surprised they're even still made at all.

Anything that gets more people to buy UHDs is fine with me.
