I'd like a UK bd of Creepshow, with the excellent feature length making of, that was available on the previous Universal 2-disc special edition. I can't bring myself to buy the bare bones US version...

I might just have to check this out having never seen it, if the reviews are correct then I shouldn't be disappointed.

Well, I sure hope the Blu-ray will be in the original aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and not cropped to 1.78:1 like the last US-DVD release.

Terrific film. It's a crying shame Romero's print of the 3 hour cut was stolen.

Arrow's original dvd release was in the correct ratio so I'm hoping that their bd will be the same. Having said that, I am curious as to how a cropped ratio might work - does it badly hurt the film?

What do you think of 1.85:1 movies that are shown in 4:3? It's pretty much the same the other way around.

Keep the movie in it's original, intended format. Period!

I'm thinking of open matte films such as Evil Dead 1 and Dawn of the Dead. They play fine in either version but I much prefer the widescreen versions of each. Unlike NOTLD, surely Romero didn't expect to theatrically release Martin in a full-frame ratio, and would have shot it whilst bearing that in mind?

I think Martin is too tight at 1.85:1. But then, I also find The Evil Dead works best full frame.

Perhaps a 1.66:1 matting could work - but that's the limit for this film imo.

I do like original US artwork but you don't need to use it as seen in the excellent UK quad:

widescreen is the best,i don't care if the picture gets chopped.
