There's a German one with a couple of commentaries and some other bits and bobs but the British one looks good although it's an expensive steelbook for it's initial release and apparently some of the bonuses may not make it to the standard release.

"Limited Edition - individually numbered with only 4000 being produced, making it a collectors’ essential purchase for all classic horror film fans
Remastered and restored at Pinewood Studios in its original aspect ration of 2.35:1
Never before seen extras include a brand new in depth documentary on the film called House of Cards, directed by Jake West (Razor Blade Smile, Doghouse, Video Nasties) featuring Hollywood horror legends Peter Cushing and Sir Christopher Lee

Are we sure about that? I have some Odeon Blurays and I think they are Region B.
You would have thought with the differing versions of Dr Terror on the way they'd all be locked to their respective region.
It's not confirmed region free on the Odeon site

Since I don't collect Steelbooks, I'm very happy to see Olive release this film on Blu-ray!

I was so taken with the film that I began reading tarot cards at the age of 12 after seeing it in 1964. However, by 1967 (the summer of love), every last hippie was reading tarot cards, so I stopped at that point. I had inadvertently become a cliché.

It also says its In Stock but Amazon have it down for 27th October release. Odd. If they're willing to ship it now I'll get one from odeon but it says despatched 7 days prior to release date. I'll stick with Amazon. If they have it in stock why keep them stored away for 2 months?

Being a steelbook is unimportant. The one hour documentary is the decider here

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm very happy to hear it. I think this is the only Amicus anthology movie that I don't have on DVD or Blu-ray.

And I know that Dead Of Night isn't an Amicus title, but could we please get a Blu-ray that is Region A friendly?

I've read the post and the link, but we are 100% sure that with the Odeon Blu-ray both the movie and the special features will play on an American Blu-ray player without any workarounds needed? It's not one of those region free 50hz Blu-rays that won't play on an American player? I'm sorry for sounding paranoid and triple checking, but I just want to make sure if I order that release that I can play it all on day one.

It's a brand new transfer, Odeon have basically scanned the negative in 4k including previously cut material and restored in 2k, maybe sharing costs with other labels since it's also getting an edition out in Germany around the same time. Olive have maybe contributed too to get the new transfer which would explain the long delay in this edition since it was first hinted at.

It's a wait for reviews though if you're limited for what you can play, maybe some of the other material on the disc will be 50i.

I was just about to post the same link, remembering klauswhereareyou's question.

Fascinating isn't it? I wasn't expecting them to be so different.

EDIT: Ignore. I got the two mixed up, I was assuming the 4K restoration would be the better. Yikes!

Haven't ever heard of this film, nor I know how it is supposed to look, but I prefer the less yellow Olive release.
Just looking at the title card it seems to me more logical that the background would be black.
