Default Check out this review for The Eye

Fangoria has a review for The Eye. Watch out for some of the extras though. Granted this is for the two disc special edition, but it will probably be included on the BD.

Speaking of fun, don’t let kids hang out in the room if you’re gonna watch the disc bonus feature called Birth of the Shadowman. It makes you reach quickly for the remote so you can pause, fetch a friend from the next room, press them against the screen and whisper sinisterly, “Watch this.” A few moments into Birth, a look at the creation of the film’s weird ghost demon thingies, we meet Brett A. Haworth—the actor responsible for performing in front of greenscreens to bring the thingies to life. Haworth is introduced to us as a very thin and polite actor, stripped naked with a skin-colored codpiece over his goods, arms held out while makeup personnel touch up his anus and gooch while he discusses his character(s). A jarring sight, to be sure, especially when one artist’s wiggling finger looks an awful lot like a…never mind. The segment is a wild, inspired bit of documentary filmmaking—but is it so on purpose? Is it strange to wish for a behind-the-scenes of a behind-the-scenes piece? Especially one that’s only four minutes long? They all just seemed so nonchalant…I don’t think it was a joke, though.
