AWESOME. This is my favorite movie that I don't own. I'd been putting off buying the DVD for years. I'm really glad Criterion went for it.

Great news. I hope this ports over the 90 minute documentary which follows the process from how the show was workshopped in NYC drag bars, to Off Broadway, to the movie being premiered at Sundance. It’s a great documentary in its own right, rather than an run-of-the-mill making-of.

Cool, I'd love to see that. I don't know much of anything about this movie other than it utterly floored me when I saw it with no background other than "I think it's a musical with some sex change stuff." Man, I'm so hyped for this.

Most "behind the scenes" are good for one viewing only; interesting, but nothing I ever need to see again. There are two that I watch every time I watch the movie they document. One is "The Hamster Factor" from 12 Monkeys, the other is "Whether You Like It Or Not" from Hedwig. It's that good. Can't imagine Criterion wouldn't include it.

How about great characters, great music, and great humor? You need to learn that people can have differing opinions from yours that are equally valid based on their perception. I could assume that you don't like the movie because you are dull and humorless, but I don't because I know that it just might not work for you. No biggie, and the same goes for those who don't agree with you. Now, how about you move along and post in some of the threads for movies you do like.
