Default This Bothers Me Greatly

Hello everyone! I am new to the forum here. I look forward to many great discussions! Now, onto my topic...
I do not own Blu-Ray yet but plan to in the future. I love the 1080 quality, it is awesome, except...
I was in Circuit City a few days ago and was looking at all the HD TVs and they had Blu-Ray players hooked up to most of them. Some played HD TV broadcasts, some played nature / animals, etc. Then I came upon one playing Pirates of the Caribbean 2 on Blu-Ray. It was just sitting on the menu so I picked up the remote & started the movie. I grew tired of the titles and skipped a chapter so I could see some 1080 quality. I was looking at it and it didn't look quite right. It was then I thought that I must have not paid close attention to the menu & I must be watching a special feature, so I skipped another chapter, and another, and another. I was indeed watching the actual movie and it looked like British Television! It looked like it was not shot on film at all. It looked like someone got all the original actors together and re-shot the movie on HD VIDEO. I was practically waiting to see a BBC logo pop up on the bottom of the screen! Sure the picture was so clear and crisp I could see the brush strokes in the painted eyes on Captain Jack's cheeks but it looked like something filmed for a ride at Disney World! I also noticed that when anything moving in fast motion didn't seem to move, it looked more like morphing and leaving trails. That I understand has alot to do with the design of the tv itself & how fast it can process but I gotta tell ya, I don't know if I can get past that video look. Just wondered if anyone else here shared my view on this.
