Warner will be relasing The Intern on 4K UHD on October 22nd. This will be a MOD distributed title. I'll post more info soon.

Day one. I don’t even care if it’s $30 for a single disc with no features and no slip. I own it in 4K on digital and it looks great but I need it on physical.

One of my favorite films. It’s what I call comfort food cinema. Just relaxing, care free and enjoyable. It’s Nancy Meyers though so one shouldn’t expect any different.

The one thing I think is sad about this recent 3 or 4 titles monthly from Warner is no UK releases- which means no slipcover versions. Hopefully they catch up at some point…

I only saw this recently, but this release would be a "Day 1" for me. It's a really great film.

Oh, yeah this is The Intern thread! I'm down for this as well. Not Day 1, but will definitely grab it when it's on sale.

Are WB just throwing darts at the wall in order to determine what random catalogue titles from the 2010s they decide to upgrade to 4K?

I think they're just trying to get out all the movies they have with pre-existing 4k masters that they know aren't worth doing a full wide release for, and none of the boutique companies that they work with are likely to ever be interested in.

Thanks for your review! That's another MOD catalogue title with DV from Warner with the excellent compression likely due to Duplitech handling it again after Focus, Game Night and co.

I'm confused, why are these MOD releases getting DV, but some newer releases of older movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street only got HDR10?
