s1 firmware on s300 - Blu-ray Forum

i was just wondering since the software on the s1 is supposed to be the same as the s300, so would the new firmware update for the s1 that allows true hd and dts hd work ok the s300? Just a thought

The core OS is the same. The hardware isn't identical. And the player won't let you install other player's firmware on it.

The firmware for the BDP-S1 does Dolby TRUE HD, but it's not DTS HD.
