Pirates at worlds end slip case ?

Hi I have the first two Pirates movies and want to buy the third but.
There doesn't seem to be a slip case and the box doesn't match the first two with the nice Blue case and Blue strip at the top.
anybody got the third one ?

the slipcase is different.... and apparently AMARAY phased out or ran out of stock of the double disc case and they were forced to use the cheaper ELITE cases... trust me, i've been trying to find the F2F case to replace Superbad and Pirates 3 all over... i just ordered a box of 50 Elite cases from Sleevetown to replace the Lionsgate cases (3:10 and WAR)

Yes, the third is the same as the first two. Has the same blu case and the nice slip case as the first two. Actually I like the third one the best. I bought mine from Amazon.com.

uh... where did you get yours from?? everyone single one i've seen is the cruddy ELITE case.

Just to confirm, got mine from amazon.com and it is the same case/slipcase as the first 2.

I have both Superbad and Pirates 3, and while I noticed that the cases are a little different than than ones that Pirates 1 and 2 came in, I haven't noticed any major quality issues with them that I have come across.

What exactly is supposed to be the problem with these cases?

no quality issues... just astheitically speaking, the ELITE cases have a screened BD logo where as the AMARAY cases are embossed. Not to mention the ELITE cases are more rounded... they look gay.

My Pirates Movie came with a slip cover over the case and the ELITE case to hold the disks. It seems like most of the newer movies I have gotten have the ELITE case.

in the uk ours are the same as pirates 1&2 with embosed blu ray logo and slipcase although 3 slipcase is diffrent design to 1&2 same pic as usa

I got copy of AWE at BB shortly after it was released and I got the crappy case as well, although I hadn't really noticed until now.

I didn't know movie cases could have a sexual preferance.

I did find it odd that they used the difference case, and I do prefer the look of the Amarays, but it's not that big of a deal to me. Esspecially considering that I usually keep Pirates 3 in it's slip cover and only take it out when actually going to use the disc.

Besides, aren't the Elite cases thicker than the Amarays? (They appear to be to me, though I've never really measured them). If you switch the cases, won't the new case fit very loosely into the slip cover?

Also, if I am right about the Elites being thicker, does that (even slightly) change the measurements needed for the cover art insert to fit properly? Maybe it's small enough of a difference to not be a big deal, but what seems to be a slight size diffrence is something I've noticed and I'm wondering if that is an issue at all.

WOW, alot of thought went into the cases, I just put them on the shelf and am done with it, I am not buying replacement cases, its a lil OCD IMO

Hehe.. so true. Only time I will replace a case is if the spindle doesn't hold the disc - had this issue with PE.

Wow didnt realize there were so many people like me with OCD when it comes to blu-ray. LOL

In order for my pirate movies to match I have been forced to remove the slip cases and store them away.

Well, I'm not as concerned about them as others. For the most part it really doesn't bother me. I just tend to notice differences in things like that, and I appreciate nice DVD and Blu-Ray packaging.

I was just inquiring if others more versed on this issue knew about some of the things I was asking about.

I, too, am obsessive about things like this. I do like the embossed cases, but I don't want to got to the effort of buying a different one to replace it with. Is anyone else bothered by the differences in color of blue the cases are made in?
I just wanted to say how cool I thought the embossing or whatever was on the slipcover. Like brushstrokes or something?

I thought I was the only one who noticed the differences...thank god im not!

I prefer the one with the logo actually on the case. My POTC3 is the Elite tho I believe(with the logo painted on)
