Default SPECIES II / SPECIES III & IV (double feature) coming via Scream Factory

https://www.facebook.com/ScreamFacto...type=3&theater

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCE FOR 2016**

To celebrate our favorite Halloween holiday, we have a few upcoming projects that we plan to reveal today and then another one tomorrow morning. So let's get started...

SPECIES II - the 1998 sequel to the blockbuster original hit alien film starring Natasha Henstridge - will be coming to Blu-ray for the first time this Spring. On the same date, we'll also be releasing a double-feature blu-ray of SPECIES III & SPECIES IV: THE AWAKENING.

More specifics (street date, extras, etc.) will be revealed during the early part of the new year.

The movies may be the greatest, but they are long-overdue a blu-ray release.

I'm in for II, but I predict that the 3/4 double feature will be among their worst sellers.

I liked 3, but 4 was terrible. Smart move to double them up.

I will get Species 2. I collect sci-fi and I remember it being a decent little movie with some neat ideas. I think I watched Species 3 on a rental at some point and didn't even make it through the whole thing, just poorly done direct-to-video T&A.

Species II is such a fun (and terrible) film! I will be getting both releases. I enjoy all the Species films to some degree.

II was an interesting film, although slightly flawed. III in my opinion was watchable but I have nothing positive to say about IV...

I'll probably pick up II since the first one came with my initial blu-ray player back in the day...

Species could almost fit into the Alien/Prometheus universe.

Not great movies, but I'll probably pick them up at some point to replace the DVDs and complete the collection.

Anyone here see the Decoys movies? They're low-budget Canadian Species rip-offs. I think Tobin "Jigsaw" Bell is in the first one.

Not sure if any of the Species sequels deserve an upgrade.

Decoys are fun flicks, esp. the first one. Tobin is in the second one. I have both dvds and revisit them now and then. Not sure if I'd bother to upgrade them either. Some titles are just fine on dvd in my world.

If all three were packaged together it'd be a purchase for me just to have the whole series. But I won't be buying them separate.

Edit - and I bought the first movie only because it was $5 new. So I would buy these new movies if they fall to a similar price point (doubtful).

I have a problem where I like to have full collections of things, so I'll be buying 2 because I enjoyed it. Never seen 3 or 4, but I'll be ordering those as well.

I had no idea there was a 4th in the series...
Now that I think about it, I can't remember if I knew there was a third either...

An Upgrade of the already release MGM disc? It Looks and sounds good to me.

These sequels have a Future Summer of Fear sale written all over them for me. I've had to back off of buying Blu Rays in order to Christmas shop and pay for some medical bills these past 2 months so I've got a nice little list of more important titles to grab first... but even if I had everything else I wanted, I'd still have a hard time paying more than around $10 for either release. I certainly plan on picking these up.... I'm just in no rush to do so.

I hope they can re-master the extended birthing scene from Species II. It's barely VHS quality on the dvd and painful to watch in terms of its brutality.
