Default Onkyo 605 Problem (HELP PLEASE).

Problem playing 20th Century Fox Titles
Firstly the equipment.
Onkyo 605 + PS3 + Panasonic TH50PZ70 all components connected with HDMi. Running the PS3 through the 605 and HDMi cable from 605 to TV. I have 5.1 system. Speakers are B&W 501's.
Okay two days ago i tried to watch Independence Day but the 605 turned itself off around 25 minutes into the film. There was no excessive heat problems and there is at least 4” of circulation around the amp. I turned off the system and restarted and at exactly the same point in the film the amp again turned off. So i restarted from the menu selecting the chapter after where the problem manifested. It played for around 15minutes and again the amp turned off. I then decided to try the disc on my second PS3 upstairs which is plugged directly into the TV. No problems the film played straight through so it appeared it was not a disc problem.
Today i tried to watch X-men 3 and the amp turned off about 5 minutes into the film. I checked the speaker cables and there does not appear to be a problem.
So i checked a non-Fox title, Black Snake Moan and its playing perfectly through the 605 but then its only playing DD5.1
The FOX titles only appear to have DTS HD MA. Is this the reason the amp is turning itself off? Also the standby red light is flashing.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.
