Sad I missed out on this, didn’t even play a full two weeks. Was hoping to catch it on my birthday and couldn’t. Now I just have to wait for the Blu-ray or peacock release date at this point.

I never looked at it closely until you said that, but yes, it's terrible. Like a bunch of image assets were fed to AI, and this is what they vomited out.

I ended up seeing it as part of a triple bill with Four Daughters and The Zone of Interest, both of which only just hit theaters here. Decent way to fill an afternoon.

American cinema thing. It’s a pre-recorded video with ads and movie-related fluff that airs before trailers. It’s basically a punishment for arriving extra early.

I'll take my chances and get the UK release. Amazon says the US release is December 2024 so I don't think it's correct. I have no faith that they will release this stateside until I see it with my own eyes. No one has seen fit to release Buster Scruggs or the other 1/2 loaf Coen… Macbeth

The sequel to Drive Away Dolls (I knew the original script as Drive Away Dykes with Alison Anders attached to direct) is called “Honey Don’t” and starring Quigley again along with Chris Evans and many others as part of the lesbian road trilogy.

Whatever side you fall on, it was a very cheap and fun little broad comedy B-movie. Me and my straight friends (some even a bit conservative) laughed out loud alongside all the lesbians in the theaters. Funniest of all, this movie is inspired by true events. A great time was had by all.

Btw even though it says directed by Ethan Coen it’s actually co-directed by Ethan and his ex-wife Tricia Cooke. DGA prevents them from sharing credit as they are not an established team so they are following the original practice Joel and Ethan displayed when it came to credits on their earlier films.

I thought this was alright. The leads are charming and it's a short, breezy watch. I just found the humour missed more than it hit, and the MacGuffin was kinda stupid.

To me the worst aspect was the editing besides the iMovie effects, the pacing was really uneven just when it seemed to get off the ground it was over.
