Wow this is great news but lol not so great news for my wallet, i have had to get stuff other ways from uk that might not be available from other retailers or as cheap.
But i would like to see germany, france etc all starting again if usa and now uk can nothing stopping the rest.
I have a few things sitting in the uk that would not send here but had germany sent like they used to would save a lot of hassle and save me heaps.
Great news for sure on uk shame in general amazon packing getting worse.
But sure hope others and yes including japan all start again as sure sucks without them.

Interested to see how it works with Prime membership. If it’s just like the global store except we get access to all UK stock, that’d be fantastic. My one global store experience was excellent.

The global store already has Amazon UK items.

Amazon's US site itself is not covered by Australian Prime membership. The UK site will be no different. It will be just like it was before Amazon AU existed.

Assuming this information is even accurate.

Dont get too excited.. they may have added the GST and increased shipping fees like Amazon US did to NZ.

Too little too late. I've had no trouble getting my discs from other sellers and will continue to do so.

It will be nice having the option again but I agree, I have now grown accustomed to ordering direct from 88, Arrow, Nucleus, Eureka and Indicator. All have reasonable shipping and package things WAY better than Amazon, so for the most part I'll keep using them.

While at the same time, Amazon messed up around 50% of my deliveries over the last 18 months so I've really phased them out. One time I even received an empty parcel bag with a receipt in it!

Same...it’s just too late... I’ve had my fill with Rarewaves and ZAVVI. There has been no issues with getting a lot of UK deals via the AU site... unlike the ongoing blocking of many titles from the US via AU.

With ZAVVI deals... I’m almost done... just wouldn’t mind a Criterion UK sale...

If you could have a word with Amazon Australia about shipping to the UK, that'd be awesome...

Not really news, you've been able to get BD's from Amazon UK through the Australian store for ages now, only difference now is they can rip you off on postage like the U.S. store does if you order directly through them. It's just easier to order more than 40 dollerydoos worth of stuff through the Australian Amazon store and get free shipping with prime. Based on the current conversion rate, UK to AU, that won't take much.

Only if the Australian store carries what you want, which it often doesn't.

And for the most part they hike the item prices so far it negates any cheaper shipping anyway.

You are aware of the little .au trick you can use on overseas Amazon’s pages which will propagate a page on the Australian store in a lot of cases yes?

I'm very familiar with clicking on that and getting a "we don't have that item" page.

When you go to one of the overseas Amazon pages ie: Amazon US or Amazon UK, and you are looking for a disc, the product will have a "buy on amazon.com.au" button. If it does, job is done. Sadly most of the time it doesn't.

I've found in many cases the easiest way to get around this lack of "buy on amazon.com.au" button is to do the following.

I'll use my last UK purchase using this method as an example.

1. Search for the product you're looking for, in my case it was Local Hero 2 Disc bluray. 15 quid to buy. Of course, no option button on the page to "buy on amazon.com.au"

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Local-Hero-Two-Disc-Collectors-Blu-Ray/dp/B07TKDPL4V/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=local+hero+blu+ray&qi d=1616145398&sr=8-1

2. So in the address bar, change the .co.uk to .com.au which means the address becomes this;

https://www.amazon.com.au/Local-Hero...6145398&sr=8-1

Boom, now we have the product propagated on Amazon AU complete with local pricing for $30.27

So basically, depending on if you're on the US or UK store, change the link in the address bar to a .com.au and a local page should propagate. I've found it works more often than not.

Basically, it all comes down to if a said product has international shipping restrictions on it or not when the product is entered into the system. Some do, most don't. If there are shipping restrictions placed on the product when they entered it, then the above trick doesn't work. Your mileage may vary.

Remember, in order to get the free shipping, you need to spend over 40 bucks, otherwise, their postage is quite expensive.

Cool i did know about it but could never get it to work , but tried it on a random title and worked, i not worked out price but aint they on the high side.
I did notice its not everything also tried a random and that never worked so this amazon shipping to here again does have its plus points.
Only bad thing about amazon these days is there decline or lack of interest in packing well.
