Default Guy Ritchie's "Snatch"

I am a big fan of Guy Ritchie's very excellent "Snatch", and am wondering when it will be released on Blu-Ray format. Since this is both a successful film, and is owned by Sony Columbia film studios, I had figured this would be one of the first films immeadiately converted to Blu-Ray. Unfortunately, so far I have not heard anything which would seem to indicate that "Snatch" is coming to Blu-Ray any time soon.
I do know that Snatch was one of the first films on Sony's failed UMD PSP format.
Does anyone know anything concerning this film, or perhaps shed some light on Sony's priorities when it comes to releasing Blu-Ray pictures.
Any insights would be much appreciated.

Go to the forums page and use the search function. I'm very sure this has been discussed before, as have many other titles not yet available on blu-ray.

Actually, I just had asked Paidgeek this very question the other day in the insiders forum. So you can look it up there.

Evidently, it's scheduled for sometime next year.

If you know its from Sony, then yeah its probably gonna be an eventual release. Sony's priorities for releasing bluray titles probably go by $$$$. whichever makes $$ in theaters will see the blu light first. money translates to consumer demand

Default "Snatch" on Blu-ray?

When is Sony going to get it together and release Snatch on BD? Stick the final nail in the HD DVD coffin! Now is the time to obliterate HD DVD while they are down.

There has been no press release on a United States release for Snatch. However, Snatch is being released in Germany sometime soon if you really want it and don't mind paying the price for the import.

Paidgeek in the original insiders thread said that it was on the schedule or being considered for US release. Search the original Insiders Thread and you'll find the answer
