Have always loved this film. I'm assuming this is a basic release (and probably an older master) so I'll hold off until the price gets closer to half. But still happy it's coming out.

It's about time!

This is one of Steve Martin's funniest films, and Charles Grodin is fantastic in this. I'm expecting an old, outdated master, but my fingers are crossed that we'll get a new transfer.

What does Warner/New Line’s Pump Up the Volume have to do with a wave of Universal catalog MOD titles? If anything you should be complaining in the thread for a Warner Archive title.

Original poster doesn't automatically mean its good though (people often seem to confuse that). I much prefer Steve Martin sitting by the radiator waiting for the phone to ring. That screams lonely, not whatever that is.

The most underrated Steve Martin flick IMO. Grodin is great in this too. I better go water my ferns.. er.. friends I mean.

Your poster makes him look lonely, the other (worse) poster does a better job of quickly showing you why he is lonely, inasmuch as he looks cartoonishly awkward and dorky (which is kind of how the movie defines "lonely guys").

One of my favorite comedies. So glad this is coming out!

And the original poster art is fine. It's always been associated with this film from Day One, when I saw it back in the theater.

Yes i remember seeing the film in the theater, even then i thought what a great film, but the guy who pasted the poster art should be fired.
