Smile Bioshock team seeks coders with 'PS3 experience'

http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/view.php?id=3594

Quote:
2K Boston, the developer behind 2007's critically acclaimed Bioshock, currently has three programmer openings listed on its job page.

Experience with PS3 development is highly regarded," say the listings, suggesting that 2K will at least be making a PS3 game, perhaps a port Bioshock as it has long-since been rumored.

Without denying rumors of a Bioshock to PS3 port, 2K merely responded by saying, "we have nothing to announce at this time."

Rumors of a BioShock hitting the PS3 at a later date surfaced last August, shortly after the shooter was released on Xbox 360 and PC.
If bioshock comes to the PS3 it will completely kill any desire in me to buy a 360! I hope this is true. Even if it isn't, it still means the Bioshock team will be making PS3 games which is good

Sorry if this has already been posted

If you have a decent PC rig, you could also do this instead:

Bioshock PC
PS3 controller for Windows

Of course, you could always do mouse/keyboard on a PC instead (which IMO smokes a controller), and also works MUCH better for hacking in Bioshock over the controller.

Yeah, Bioshock on the 360 is the only game I want. It would be awesome if it was coming to the PS3, but I think this is for the sequel.

So at least we will get the sequel, I am doubtfull we will get the first one.

Am I the only one that hated this game or at least considers it mediocre at best? I bought it on the PC (and can run it at full settings) and got about half way through it and haven't touched it since. It looked good, but nothing mind blowing. The thing that killed it for me were the enemies. They moved and attacked in a very unrealistic way that it would pull me out of the game. As a huge FPS fan, the game became annoying.

Although I finished the 360 version (rented form gamefly) the only thing that kept me playing was the story. I'm more an old-school FPS PC gamer myself and the gameplay itself didn't really appeal to me. For one, I didn't even think it was that challenging on the harder skill levels, and I suck with a game controller (prefer mouse/kb).

BioShock, I may double-dip for BioShock on PS3 [have it on the PS3].

[ add / edit ]
The game is lame-core ezmode for a FPS-RPG, I will say that upfront.

It is a good game but by the time it gets to PS3 there will be many other games and it will not be a big deal. Certainly a plus... but 1 year later = not a big deal. It is fun tho. The graphics were good (not great) the art was nice. Gameplay was fun.. it became a bit repetitive.. but I finished it. And that says something

I really hope they don't port Bioshock to the PS3. I bought a 360 to play Bioshock. What a waste that would be...

Have you used it with Bioshock though? I've used it for loads of games but can never get it to work with Bioshock. It will only let me configure a 360 controller whenever I've tried.

I say let em' keep their bioshock and give us our own exclusive killer app.
PS3 more power than 360, so a bioshock port would be like wearing your little brother's used underwear. Frankly, PS3 is the one that should be giving the hand-me-downs away.
