Hey folks I was wondering if you preorder from Amazon do they charge when they ship or when you preorder? Just being sure before I make go crazy with the Amazon Prime Trial. Thanks in advance.

also if the item becomes cheaper before it comes out you will get the cheaper price guaranteed

No problem, and as MOONPHASE mentioned above, if the price goes down (or for some reason up) by the time it's actually released...you get the lowest price.

In the US, it is illegal to charge someone for an ordered product that has not shipped yet. There are some very slim loopholes to this law that allow for the reverse, and also many companies that are simply ignorant of its existence (like a lot of your smaller e-tailers). But I know for a fact that Dell has been successfully sued for charging customers for items prior to them shipping out.
