Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Blu-ray Forum

Okay...with its sale price at BB for $40...I am sure many others picked one up this week like I did...

The game is incredible!!! Wow...

One question and one comment...

Has anyone downloaded the game onto their unit? If so, what are the advantages?...It's fast while reading from disk now...

Why is it so HARD!!! Has anyone beat the game? Offer any advice? And I don't mean from Walkthroughs...I mean stuff like how many elixirs to have and does powers really help etc...

cant answer you there i cant even beat the 1st boss and plus those add ons from the playstation store let you play in game mode where you are Rachel which is kind of cool but still freaking tough. the bosses are just so hard no matter what

Hmmm, I might pick it up then. I get tired of video games that I can blow through in a weekend. I'd rather have it be too tough over too easy.

Everyone struggles with the game at first. Just keep playing it.. takes a few hours to get the hang of honestly. This is normal on Sigma. Once you get into the game you could go back and whip that 1st boss pansy ass easily. I wanted to break my Sigma disc after my first 10+ attempts on the first boss! You need to be blocking almost constantly and rolling. For the most part, keep moving. It just takes practice.. but it will come.. and is worth it.

I haven't gotten sigma yet but i completed the game on the original XBOX. It's got to be one of the hardest games to beat which makes it much more satisfying. Just keep playing, it'll come ot you. But it'll only get harder.

I did the game install on mine and I really don't notice much of a difference in game play or load times.

I think its still one of the best and best looking games on the ps3 I really need to go back and continue playing it. It does require a bit more strategy than other hack'n slash games. I didnt find it to crazy hard its certainly challenging and makes you think a bit, i made it onto the plane/blimp thing with out to many problems, thats about where i stopped playing.

Yeah the graphics were great.. 1080p and solid 60fps. Never any slow downs. I will be buying NG2 on the 360.. but I will expect slow downs and 720p

I traded the game in even tho i was halfway through with it. I just couldnt take it anymore LOL. Even on ninjadog mode, its just more challenging then it is fun. I'll try out NG2.

Fantastic game. First PS3 game I beat, actually. It is truly one of the more difficult games to master, due to its complexity. I didn't really notice any advantages by dumping it to the HDD. The game runs VERY, VERY solid as is. The only thing that bugs me about it is all the save points tend to create separate files. I might have been doing it by mistake, but in order to go back to a previous spot in the game you need to have a discrete save file for it. Hence, there are like 100+ save files for Sigma alone (long game) vs 1-2 for each other game.

I think I might pick up the game, but I'm having a difficult time beating the last boss in Heavenly Sword right now, I hope Ninja Gaiden isn't harder than that.

Then you are not doing it right. He is easiest end boss ever. You just deflect his fireballs back at him. Same tactic you used on the previous boss. If you try to balls out melee him.. then that is really hard.. not designed to be beaten like that.

I will keep playing it and perhaps it will get better...

The game is awesome and the experience has been the best...other than cursing like a sailor and getting yelled at by my wife for acting like a spoiled brat who can't get his way...you get the picture...

Everytime he shouts the blue flame and on impact I press triangle but it somehow never works and whenever he shots the red/orange flame I press R1 and then triangle, but it either doesnt work and I get damaged or I would just block it.

I think that the game is maddening! I have had to turn it off so many times during boss battles. I though keep turning it on to try again and again. I'm stuck on the blimp boss! Yes, your suppose to roll and roll and hit and hit, but no matter what I try, I get fried almost instantly.

I just beat the horse dude...I am on the ship now...chapter 3...

I'll keep you updated...it's a hard game but it's so beautiful and fun to play!!!
